Mollie is a theorist with a focus on computation and automation, and its relationship to contemporary building practices. She has written, edited or consulted on articles and books on these topics, including Robotic Building: Architecture in the Age of Automation (Detail Edition, 2019). She studied at Pratt Institute, the Architectural Association and is completing her PhD at The Bartlett, UCL. Mollie coordinates architectural theory in MArch Architectural Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL where she is also Co-Director of Design Computation Lab.
Manuel Jimenez Garcia
Manuel is an architect specialising in design, computation and fabrication including additive manufacturing. His work is regularly exhibited in galleries, and he lectures and delivers workshops around digital design and manufacturing in architecture schools internationally. In addition to his work in AUAR, Manuel is co-founder of the robotic manufacturing design brand Nagami, and is the Director of MSc Architectural Computation and Co-Director of Design Computation Lab at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
Gilles is an architect, educator and thinker working at the intersection of computation, fabrication and architecture. He studied architecture in Belgium, Chile and the UK, where he graduated from the Architectural Association. He has designed multiple provocative schemes for residential and cultural projects and built experimental installations at some of the world’s most renowned museums and institutions. Gilles is the Director of MArch Architectural Design and Co-Director of Design Computation Lab at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
Clara is an architectural designer and researcher specializing in digital tools and technology. She holds a Master in Architecture from the University of Innsbruck as well as a MRes in Architecture & Digital Theory from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where she is now a Teaching Fellow in addition to being a Researcher at AUAR.
Kevin Saey is an architect and researcher in automation, digital fabrication and computational design with a background in game design. Kevin studied Digital Arts and Entertainment at Universty College West Flanders, MSci in Architecture at KU Leuven and MArch Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
Nikolaos is a developer interested in all things XR with a background in computer science. Nick studied Informatics and Telecommunications at University of Athens, a MSc in Computer Science at Athens University of Economics and Business and a MRes in Virtual Reality at University College London.
David is an architect and urbanist interested in automation, computational design and fabrication. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Sergipe and currently studies MArch Architectural Design at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
Danae is an architect interested in bringing together the traditional discipline of architecture with cutting edge computational theory and technology in order to explore new interdisciplinary paths of design. She has completed her integrated MArch at the NTUA School of Architecture and she is currently finishing her MSc in Architectural Computation at UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture.
